A little photoshop project I’ve been working on:

The original:

Also, I think this thread should be stickied.

Midget statue?

Not bad, but I think there should be more effect on the statue of the rain. The statue would be shiny and wet. It should also have rain drops bouncing off the top edges of it.

Righteo… Geting on that straight away.

How’d you make the clouds? Considering I dont see a stock photo for those…

Dey secksee.

Its a highly edited version of a picture I found in google.

EDIT:
Alright. Fixed the statue not being “wet,” added refection, and I was bothered by the angle of the rain so I fixed that up a bit too. Also brightened up the edge of the building to simulate “splashing.” Considering the statue is high up in the air, you wouldn’t actually be able to see splashes from the ground. This is also why the statue seems like a midget to Someonerandm.

Good job!

A nice technique to make something look wet, is adding a new layer, and with black and white being the main colours, use Effect, Render, Clouds. And erase everything but the statue, then set it to soft light, and reduce the opacity.

Just a tip.

First try at more complex subdivision modeling, I figured it would be a good learning experience. I chose the German Tiger I tank because it’s a legend among tanks and I found some ultra high res reference pictures of it.

Probably going to slightly increase the overall size of the barrel + the part it’s attached to.

This. :3

If you do the tip adam posted, and make it in 16:10 format, you’ve got yourself a desktop fan.

Ya I tried it, but it just wasn’t as convincing as I’d like it to be. I’m happy with my technique.

Fair enough… But I like to fulfil people’s requests.

So Ibanez, you got a wallpaper. :3

The only thing I did was a small clouds technique, and resizing it.
