It does.
Anyway, my latest is a trailer for the mod Missing Information, as I was asked to do a simple trailer as part of my application. Keep in mind that it’s supposed to be simple, I’m doing an action styled one next.

looks pretty good but the monotone “music”/sound sequence is so fucking annoying.
Fair enough, I was hoping to have someone make some music for me but obviously not.
Yeah, was still WIP last night at 3 AM. I was getting pretty tired. Here’s round 2. Better?

yes, but that’s not what I meant. I meant a cooker didn’t seem to fit with the other “natural” shots.
Ah, I gotcha.
It does seem a little odd, but makes sense in the context of the story
Well, made this today while I was bored… I scrapped most of my old level that I tried (with the basement and the jail and whatnot) and just kept the basement and continued with it more logically.
[EDIT: Moar of the same!]
Lighting is a bit dark, but I like the mood of it.

Work continues…

Those caves are sick dude. I wish I knew how to do displacements. When you started did you go off of some website or just start messing around? Because I’ve tried multiple times but it winds up looking like trash.
Shoot, dawg… transfer some of that mapping skill to me.
Looking really good.
Actually surprisingly little of that is displacements. I felt like texture blending was a little limiting on something of this size, so most of it is a static prop with a 2k texture map.
If you’re having problems with displacements, you’d be surprised how much looking at reference photos helps. Most people tend to subdivide and pull out some verts, but if you know what you’re trying to create before you start, it ends up looking a lot more natural, especially when you start putting textures on it.

Thanks man, I’ll give that a try.
