Remington 870 Magnum. 12 Gauge Pump Action shotgun, accepts 3" shells and is very reliable, and easy to carry. Outside of that, I’ve got a soft spot for sawed-off break action shotguns.

I like 12 gauge semis.
I love my 20 gauge pump shotgun that kicks more than any other shotgun with any other load I’ve ever shot, or anyone else I know has ever shot.
It’s as light as a fucking feather. I can take a bit of a sore shoulder if it means I don’t have to lug around a heavy-ass shotgun while walking through grass that’s taller than me.
But, the Benelli over under that my dad has is pretty fucking awesome, too.
I prefer pump because of the awesome factor, though if it was a life or death situation I’d go for an auto.
The Pump-Action is one of the few non-verbal ways of communicating: “I’m a badass motherfucker”

I dislike sawed off though, it sacrifices too much for too little.
It’s real only purpose is to combine a lot of power into a small package. If you have to pull out a gun to blow something away or at least immediately defend oneself, you can’t really go wrong with a sawed-off shotgun.
The point of a sawed-off is to make it easy to smuggle (muggles, heh) into a place and blow somebody away from point-blank range. On the topic of sawed-offs, sawed-off Winchester lever action, possible?
Relating to shotguns, I don’t own one, but I have a fetish for the SPAS-12 and the Remington 870.
The 870 is a beautiful gun, and incredibly reliable. And anything can be sawed off as long as you’re not interrupting the firing mechanism and the projectile is still able to be fired semi-accurately from the weapon. If the lever-action uses a tubular magazine, you probably can’t saw it off because you’d be going through the magazine too.
I’ve never fired a sawed off anyways so I wouldn’t know how it feels so I don’t have too much authority to criticize it.

off topic slightly… but why do people say “blow somebody away” when in reailty you’re just blowing a hole in there chest? “blowing somebody away” would give one the impression you are physically “blowing them away” but you’re not… I declare the term should be changed to something like “to blow that mother a new hole”, thoughts on a postcard please
