Shit just got real - Counter Strike 2

I just don’t understand why every time Valve announces a new game that isn’t a Half-Life game, people get their hypoallergenic Depends in a twist. You’re damn fools if you believe that the next Half-Life game isn’t being developed or that Valve can’t develop more than one game at a time. Just because they’re not giving us trailers and updates and announcements and shit all of the time doesn’t mean they’re not working on it. They have enough employees to have multiple projects going.

(This doesn’t apply to everyone in the thread, just the idiots who think that they’re entitled to get pissed off every time Valve announces a new game.)

yeah, i doubt that diversion of manpower is what’s slowing down Ep3; just listen to their commentary tracks, when valve talks about how many revisions they go through on the simplest set pieces. i don’t think they can make up their mind about how they want to end this leg of the series. and given all the emphasis on the continuing service/microtransaction nature of their titles, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

i don’t really care for the CS series, but I will say that as mainstream shooters continue to get dumbed down, i think there is definitely a place for one with tighter, faster mechanics and competitive (read: rigidly dickish) community.

still - i’m not convinced that this will unseat 1.6.

Those idiots are so fucking self-centered they completely ignore the fact that non-competitive players also like to play CS for fun.

Basically they want Valve to get on their knees and suck their dicks off while attending to their every need.

If they’re so fucking smart and think they know better, why don’t they just make their own perfect CS clone and play that instead?

It’s incredible that these pricks have actually managed to keep CS from evolving beyond its core format because of their bloated sense of self-importance.

Hidden Path Entertainment coop’ed with Valve in the making of CS Global Offensive. It will probably be released early 2012. A playable version will be shown at Pax Prime and EuroGamer Expo.
Not at Gamescom.

Another CS. Whoopty doo. :meh:

I’m not much of a CSS fan, but maybe we will be seeing source engine 2 with this game.

Here’s a leaked screenshot:

why do I love CSS so much if everyone hates it, whyyyyyyyyyy

Looks like CSGO doesn’t concern the average PC gamers since it won’t replace neither CS 1.6 or CSS. Seems more like a shot to put the CS franchise back under the spotlights after COD success. And maybe Valve needs more cash for HL3…

Ditto, I’m right behind you! > :frowning:

Also it’s not even being made by Valve, it’s made by ‘Hidden Path Entertainment.’

It’s on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800

Valve released CSS Right before HL2. Maybe a repeat?

…It makes sense… :expressionless:

^ would be fuckin great.

inb4 Day of Defeat 2 and Dino Dday 2 and the sequel to some other obscure mod that has never had any ties to source or valve before.

fucking god shitting dick fucking ballsacks valve fucking shit balls poop COUNTER STRIKE ISNT BETTER THAN HALF LIFE IT WONT BRING IN MORE PROFIT THAN HALF LIFE PEOPLE DON’T LIKE IT AS MUCH AS HALF LIFE

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUGHHH

i like css. i play css more than myself.
this new cs seams interesting, but if not then ill just keep it real with css.

Fuck you, valve.

When do we get ricochet 2.

Counter Strike is best when playing with a group of friends that are just having fun, and keeping the competitive assholes out of the server makes it even more fun

cs :s = aka m4akawp game.
I hope that new one will be better with weapons-balance.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
