Why is it that the ask the developers thing was/is not done? great opportunity to have done it.
My only critique is that it takes a few seconds (at least on my internet) to reload the pics when they change and it’s a fugly “click to enlarge” text instead. Maybe preload them somehow before they change or make it a button to switch them rather than automatic?

One small grammar quibble: under the “Is it really free?” section, you failed to capitalize “Source Engine” or “Steam.” Otherwise, spot-on!

Josh, I just have a tiny request. The word “shit,” while not offensive to most on the forums I would guess, might be offensive to some that come across the main page of the mod; especially when it’s presented in huge bold white text as soon as the page loads.
We want the page to look as professional as possible right?
And yes, I know that there are vulgarities in the game, and people who would be playing the game wouldn’t mind that. But it’s still not good looking to the eye.
I’d like my dad to play this mod (he’s a gamer as well) but I’d be ashamed to show him the front page at this point.
No worries if it can’t be changed to something like “s**t,” or something, I just wanted to throw this idea out there.

Oh, Zsub, I wasn’t debating the concept of censorship; I think it’s as silly as you, mate. But that doesn’t change the fact that it doesn’t look as blinding as if it had been censored. Society tells us that uncensored “bad” words are worse than censored ones, so people are shocked at uncensored ones.
I realize the mod wants to come across as edgy and fun, not formal. But still, I return to the “dad” example.
Besides, Hubi could have some fun with the censoring thing. Maybe give the word “shit” a shake-n-blur effect?
Anyone that doesn’t play BM because of the term “hot shit” has himself to thank for it.

Dillxn, I think you are right in the fact that it’s less obvious, however, it draws more attention if it’s ‘starred’. I’ll look at it and think: “Why are there stars?” Then I’ll think about all the possible words, etc. So for me it’s just annoying.
And on the ‘dad-issue’ I pretty much agree with Burbinator.
And I totally respect your opinion and see where you’re coming from, man
