Just to state a fact: just because extremist Muslims are being more violent ATM than extremist Christians doesn’t mean it wasn’t the other way around a couple of hundred years ago (ex: inquisition, witch hunting, etc.)

I agree with Paddy on this they simply stand out too much, if they immigrate into our countries why don’t they bother integrating with the culture? The idea of burning anybody’s Koran, Bible, Book of Mormon is the same as stomping on or burning someone’s flag. It is beyond disrespect, it is uncivil and in my opinion this incitable person is simply baiting the world for attention. It is ALSO obvious this person is acting without any official backing of any kind. Not even his own church approves. Just another hate monger.

The beauty of the US is that you can move here and keep whatever culture you had (as long as its legal) without having to change for anyone.
Intolerance and stupidity like this is the reason I stopped going to church. The guy not only wants to burn the Muslim equivalent of the bible, but he expects moderate (ie, non-extremist/terrorist) Muslims to join in. He’d go off the handle if someone were to do the exact thing with Bibles, even though historically, Christians have done worse things in the past, and really, it just shows how stupid and intolerant this guy is. Plus, 9/11 happened, what, 9 years ago? Why is he doing it now, instead of in the wake of the incident he’s “protesting”? Also, Nazi book burnings, anyone?
IMO, this guy is going to cause a few things:
A) More Muslims are going to join the extremists, because of what “Western Culture” is doing.
B ) This is going to provoke Al-Queda to attack North America again.
And this guy will, of course, not blame himself for what his actions spark, which will be the deaths of many innocent people.
Anyone this intolerant has no right to call themselves a member of any real religion, I don’t give a shit what they claim to believe.
Why take out something on the entire religion when it’s only a small fraction of people who don’t even believe in the core values who are doing the deed?

On-topic: This guy is a complete dumbass. First: Burning the Quran will accomplish nothing but instigating riots and murder. The main reason there are so many Muslim terrorists is because we (mainly America) pissed them off. Second: Islam is not to blame for terrorism, shitty living conditions governments and American attacks are to blame for terrorism, extreme Islam is just the excuse. And finally, the police should arrest this guy. Free speech is good and all, but once your actions start endangering others, you should be stopped.
Small correction: AFAIK, its not America itself that pisses them off, but what it stands for: the advancement of western civilization.
EDIT: by “advancement of western civ” i mean the slow death of their tradition
