That is a very rigid crowbar defense, and I wouldn’t use that at all. Trying to stop the momentum of a crowbar strike is foolish.

I would avoid strikes until he had a really good follow through that I could find an opening to smother his striking arm against his body, and then strike him to the face with as many punches as it took to get him down.

This is a real defense against a crowbar. Just substitute a crowbar for the sword.

If the person is clumsy enough they’ll catch the crowbar on the back of their own head when they try to swing it.

I’ve seen it happen! It happened to me, too.

The reason this wouldn’t work on Gordon, is because he doesn’t swing, he just thrusts the crowbar forwards. :smiley:
