Topic derail much?
Black is an adjective, which is why that makes sense. Retard is a noun, which is why that didn’t. [COLOR=‘Red’]None of this is worth any more derailment of this thread, so back on topic.
Talking about security guards, I noticed something when I re-watched the BMS trailer…
the guard standing by the helicopter is not crouching or squatting down (theres no dust effects either as far as I could seem but thats not the concern)
Did anyone else notice this? it just looked a bit wooden to me
Downwash from heli rotors doesn’t force people to crouch down, most do it instinctively due to the blades overhead. I could stand perfectly upright underneath rotor bades and be fine, but it’d feel pretty bloody dangerous.
Security guards are crazy bastards who sprint right into the action, so why should they be bothered by rotor blades?
The best argument I’ve seen in a long time. In all seriousness.
it’d be nice if the guard didn’t just sit there this time round, as it doesn’t take a military genius to figure out that cover it a good thing or failing that, move about…
Probably too late in the development cycle to do anything, but why don’t some SG have baseball caps instead of helmet
something akin to this
But perhaps have it in navy rather than black
Black Mesa is a hard-hat zone.
No. Helmets provide actual protection, and it’s part of the classic uniform.
Damn ninjas.
I do security at a nuclear power plant and at my job I have to wear a black construction style helmet.(shrugs) I guess they are worried something might fall and hit me in the head or something.
And you don’t have to wear bullet-proof vests there, know why? Because they’re aware that the risk of creating vicious headcrabs is none
No, probably because breaking into a nuclear power plant is a bad idea and would probably get you killed.
That and he wears a BP vest a lot on his other job.
lol, fair enough ^^
What’s his other job then (slightly off topic but we’ll get back to it afterwards, just curious)
From his Avatar I’m going to guess he is a member of the armed forces? durp.
Topic: I think that BMRF Sec. are better off with the helmets due to the amount of storage and warehouse areas they have to patrol. They also perform maintenance work every now and then iirc.
Not only that, but the appearance of Armed guards with Helmets and Armor gave the feeling that you were actually in a high security area, and that you were actually safe under the protection of the Black Mesa Security Force, or at least that’s what it felt like the first time I played.
me too, then I saw barney’s mind.
Security headgear ftw.
AH HA HA HA HA!!!
I have that exact hat and I’m a professional security guard.
Oh, and I wear that under hard hats when I have to wear then.

When i saw the security zombie, i though it got helmet inside the headcrab, but it didn’t, click the link to check it out.
This is why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FtZ6j_TBAs
Imagine being at a nuclear power plant…
EDIT: Or in Black Mesa!!!
