Safari 4 has converted me.

I use telnet to access the internet, my pages load faster than yours :stuck_out_tongue:

^And there you have it. Sersoft comes and flails his hardcore e-penis xD

Internet Explorer [6, 7 and 8] is quite terrible at anything to do with css, eats too much memory and is generally bloated. I am looking forward to IE8.1 though, with the new rendering engine and superior CSS3 support.

I’ll stick with Chrome for now though, although I may dabble with Safari 4 at work to see what it’s like

I like my browser to be lightning fast, so I use Chrome. It’s a good thing they fixed the .gif speed too. Watching Jambo’s sig at like 0.5 fps was a real pain in the ass.

Well I was basing my impression on IE8 on the fact that my college project was showing much better results than IE7

here’s the project btw. WARNING! Death to 56kbps

Imonfire: Right now browsing with Safari and Jambo’s sig is fine.

It is fine with Chrome too.

nah I think I misunderstood you. Were you saying that Chrome had fubared gif interpretation in the past? Cuz I don’t use chrome too much

Yup. In the past. Now it’s good.

If you have slow internet, it blows at loading images, because it loads them as it views them on the page, and not beforehand. Even if it’s done everything in the current frame, it doesn’t continue to go down and load more images, just stops where it’s at.

There are also certain differences between the way in which different browsers load content.

Well I just uninstalled Safari 4 from my work PC, because a lack of a good enough video card means that none of the new features work. So it’s pretty much like using Chrome with a gray skin.

Will install it at home later tonight and give it a whirl!

No shit.

And in terms of speed, memory useage, and overall efficiency, Safari 4 wins at:

NOTHING!

Memory usage is very important to me, when I browse 4chan, I open at least 20 tabs, not including the images I wish to save that I open in their own tabs. And I run a browser on each screen, which is between one and three.

Also I was watching hulu.com today (at school) and it crashed IE after 30 minutes of HD playback on an E6600 running XP pro…

I got firefox with a lot of great add-ons, and it still runs extremely fast

How’d you do? I thought it was US only?

I used ultrasurf at school and at home I use hotspot shield

I also have a real legit hulu account so I can watch everything, even R rated movies.

I hate the adverts though.

I used to use Opera, but I’m finding I do alot of stuff in Chrome these days. If Chrome supported 3rd party plugins, I’d be there, because I still miss a few features of Opera.
.

don’t really give a shit since this is being written on FF3
And still, it’s not in the bottom either.

Was distracted last night and didn’t end up putting Safari 4 on PC, will hopefully get to it tonight.

I reckon I’ll use it for like an hour or so then be over it and uninstall it =/
