Runtime Crash

During normal online gameplay; game suddenly (and instantly) closed.

Machine spec not in dump file;

  • 2x SLI GPU
  • Intel Core i7 5930k
  • 64-bit Windows 8.1
  • Game installed on SSD

Seemed similar to the Source multi-core crashes, which I get across all my computers for Source engine games with the multi-core rendering option selected.

EDIT: Same crash on non-SSD drive with -threads 2 set (The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.)

EDIT2: Same crash on non-SSD without -threads set, the crash happened a lot quicker

EDIT3: So I decided to check if this crash occurs in single-player. I played all the way through to the end of the dam with no crashes at all.

I’m also getting this. Played 30 mins of online deathmatch and the game quit without warning twice. Shame as the multiplayer seems fun - although seems to stutter a bit when you die.

I wondered about disabling multi core rendering which is enabled, but it doesn’t seem to let me over-ride it.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
