Fuckin CIA huh. Or cancer I guess.
finally, someone I was looking forward to die
At fucking last.
And of course, in a national forum there’s people lamenting his death. Like he was a socialist hero. Yes, a dictator can be a hero aparently if he’s dead (because there are no bad dead people). Even if he censors absolutely everything that doesn’t agree with him.
Never mind that my country had about 30 years of dictatorship up until pretty recently, with the same censorship shit except enforced in a more brutal manner. Then again there is people who still support that dead old fuck like it was Christ himself.
Who the hell…
Oh, Huge Chavez? Was he evil? I never really paid that much attention to Cuba.
Don’t worry, it’s doubtful that his heir will lick U.S./EU ass and Exxon Mobil won’t be operating there. You better start hating on the next guy.
Not from Venezuela.
And my country has been licking good o’l american and british balls for a good while now.
don’t you find it funny how Pinochet was fine for everyone outside your country yet Hugo is repressive dictator…
*Venezuela, Castro is the Cuban dictator. He did some censorship crap, as already mentioned. Good that Chavez is gone, but whenever one roach dies, five more spring up. Best hope the successor isn’t as bad as he was, but if he’s “good” enough to be called Chavez’s successor, than you may be in some deep shit. Best wishes.
I’ll be in some deep shit? I don’t live in Venezuela.
LOL, that part’s addressed to Grach and anyone else on the forum living in Venezuela.
I’ve never believed in any politician, no matter what position they held, in my opinion all those who here honest, either assassinated or got exiled
Probably since those “commie bastards” had the nerve to take our country in a fair election and it doesn’t sit well with the US and the rest of the world. Because the Soviets were the ones that did all the terrible stuff. The US never did something as atrocious as, say, topple an entire government for the sake of bananas.
evil communizms
In my country he was considered a good guy :S, he was pretty friendly due to long political relations with the former president.
Oh yeah, another one of those damn communist dictators.
You know, those assholes that give free healthcare and education to their citizens, and holds elections and referendums.
Socialism is not the same as communism. And neither requires the person in charge to remain that way through force. Okay, yes, there was a revolution. Then some elections, after which a new constitution was drafted and more rights and freedoms were given.
Kind of like America had a few centuries back.
Also, during his presidency Venezuela’s poverty rate was cut by over half, and they kept gas prices down to about 11 cents/litre for his citizens. Right now, any gas station in my area charges about $1.23/litre.
Please, do some research before slinging mud.
I don’t mean to say he was perfect. Nobody is. But still, some of those posts are really ignorant.
His government also expropriated a lot of privately-owned properties. And I’m not only talking about big multinational companies, I’m talking about regular people’s houses that the government thought would be better if used for the greater goodm while leaving these people with no compensation at all.
Also, the elections they held are some of the least transparent ones in recent memory in South America.
Please, do some research before painting the world in black and white. There’s corruption all over the world, and doing good stuff doesn’t undo the bad. And viceversa.
EDIT: Sneaky edit is sneaky.
Wrt to the elections in venezuela Jimmy Carter had to say “As a matter of fact, of the 92 elections that we’ve monitored, I would say that the election process in Venezuela is the best in the world.”
Well that’s Jimmy Carter. And he’s a fuckwit.
its not saying much but he’s the least horrible human being to have ever been elected president of the usa
Whatever floats your boat
And two minutes before your post, if you check the timestamps.
This is true, but as you said, almost every single government in the world is rife with corruption. And I don’t see anyone talking shit about their leaders at the moment.
Basically, it’s because he’s dead. He died, and he was a socialist, so people feel the need to say shit like “I’m glad he’s dead” and “about fucking time” like he was Adolf Stalin-Bin-Laden. He wasn’t a bad person, he made some bad decisions, people under him did as well. Just because someone’s not a capitalist doesn’t automatically make them the Enemy Of Freedom™
I’m just sick and tired of people doing shit like this all the time over petty differences like political views. If you uncover evidence that he murdered babies and raped women every day, then I’ll agree with the sentiments. But until you can prove they were, in fact, an immoral person, please don’t say it’s a good thing somebody died.
Just a bit of food for thought; If the president of, say, France died, there would be a lot less people on the burning effigies bandwagon, simply because of the politics. And the ones that were on it would ALL be from France and neighboring countries they deal with regularly.
