Retextured EP2 Explosive Canister

So I decided to retexture the EP2 explosive canister for Black Mesa (using the original texture as a base) and then gave it it’s own normal map, for custom map use and whatnot. Keep in mind this is my first real retexture, so if it’s horrible please give me some constructive criticism. This is how it turned out:

Looking nice! I wouldn’t use a normal map, here. Not like they painted the white on in 500 layers, y’know?

You can use a normal map just don’t use the completed texture to generate it. Paint is very thin when sprayed on, your white paint appears to be super thick.

Thanks for your input! I tried making a higher resolution texture, and here’s how it looks so far.
