Yea guys, stop complaining about the voice acting, I thought he was an excellent “Barney.” I don’t know what you guys mean, but I think it’s perfect, he sounds preoccupied, he’s not forcing something, he’s acting laid back.
Would be funny if he actually started behaving, dressing and looking like Mr. Shapiro

Maybe to increase the player awareness of anxitey, you should have barney squeezing a yellow stress ball while on the computer, have it explode all over the place when Gordon come close enough follow by a “My God man! What are you doing?”
Voice acting = Very well done, and wasn’t the Gmans voice put through a synthesizer?
Oh dear god no! the voice acting sounded like the people had a tape recorder in their pocket and used it to say everything. Please god no!

And I really like Barney’s new voice. I think there was a video in YouTube that compared the original and new voices, and they sounded amazingly similar, yet improved in a good way. It has been said several times before - people aren’t really going to care about ONE LINE of dialogue once they start crowbarring headcrabs left and right around Black Mesa.
TBH i like the old one better, despite the lower bitrate

I’m not of the school of thinking that the voice acting is flaccid at all, so much as divergent. If I have any issue with the trailer, to be acrid, it’s the sound of the Tentacle. It’s not saying I can do any better or anything along the such, but I feel that it doesn’t ring as deeply or imposing as the original (which gave me nightmares through its singing alone). But there’s still room for improvement and from what I’ve seen, Black Mesa is looking to be a deeply impressive remake of what is still my favorite game of all time, today.
EDIT: I don’t mean the ‘clanging’ sound upon the metal grates themselves, I mean the roars of the Tentacles.
I remember the sound being a repetitive and non-frightening banging sound. Really, why is everyone all of a sudden missing the old when the new is so much better?
If there is nothing to complain about, someone will start complaining about something anyway just to keep dialog up. :s hrug:
