Replying within the actual quote

I grossly oppose quoting within the actual quotation tags, like this:

Is it really that difficult to open a new [quοte] tag for replies?

When you refuse to isolate your commentary from your quotings, you do great injustice to your source who deserves to retain their right to present their own bolded statements without having them be confused by lazy repliers.

You can do it in signatures, but not in posts.

And you felt this was necessary enough to say to open a new topic because…?

Some people in the debating section are doing it… and the point is certainly debatable. Convince me of its efficiency or be converted for the sake of clarity. That is the purpose of discourse.

I think quote tunnels should be enabled again, it would be fun.

I oftentimes form an artificial quote-pyramid when the context of the thing I’m replying to is significant. They should be enabled as it is annoying to fetch the original quotes, and users should be held accountable for trimming them. An excessive pyramid, let’s say over 4 deep, would be punishable.

:fffuuu:

I’m indifferent. Closing off quotes between comments is easier to read, but having replies in quotes isn’t that much harder. Do what you want.

And no, fuck pyramids.

fffffffffuuuuu

build a better Pyramid, Imhotep !

lol

CT. Seriously?
Please tell me this is a lame April Fools Day joke.
It’s hard to accept that even you could be THIS pathetic.

I hope you’re talking to the webmaster because this was disabled before.

Is there a limit to the number of nested quotes?

EDIT: Thats a no.

shiiit nigga

wtf

there is clearly a limit since the quote in the middle can’t get any smaller.

Breaking the forum layout is supposedly fun, no?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
