Red Mesa - A Half-Life Inspired Cryengine 2 Level

This is not a level by me, but Crymod member Florry. I was the voice actor for this level.

Red Mesa is a Half-Life inspired level for Cryengine 2. It’s not intended to be a remake of Half-Life (Note: ‘Inspired’), it’s neither intended to compete with Black Mesa Source.

The release date is set for 30.08.09

Check out the thread for the level here: https://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=14149&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1

Here’s a gameplay video from the level:

Please note that this has been developed by one person not a team.

Will Look.
Feel Bad.

It actually looks really nice.
I don’t have a PC with good enough Graphics to play the game that is required. :frowning:

As a betatester I can happily announce that this level looks stunning on low settings as well.

Well…
I’ll just have to see won’t I? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, the game Crysis requires alot of the computer because of the huge outdoor environments. Red Mesa is mostly indoor environments so it doesn’t require as much.

Ah right. OK.

Looks good.

And so Red Mesa is released! Download it here: https://www.crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=3898

Half of the video was picking up things.

Well, it’s only 4 min. gameplay out of 2 hours.

Red Mesa? It Cries Fail already.
but looking at the gameplay, it looks decent.

Ah, cool. I’ve been tracking this mod for a while.

I looked at the gameplay video and the trailer. About 30 seconds was of something that looked like Half-Life. The rest was picking things up, random environment shots and shooting people.

So basically it’s boring and unoriginal.

With an ugly orange nanosuit.
But if someone have crysis, he could tell us if this is real a big pice of shit or might be fun.

ok, where are headcrabs and zombies ? lso dosnt feel like half life ;/

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
