Sounds good.
People have suggested something like this in the past. I think even some work was done on it. Good luck though! You might want to ask Carlos because he might have organized some of this already.
oh if only we had some of the ‘angry beaver’ stuff from the old website. Oh, and see my other post.
The only person I remember suggesting it in the past was me, and I never got anywhere.
well get on it sweetheart! chop chop! Fans are eager to see the results!
Oh, I was under the impression that Carlos and Sitten_Duck teamed up on it at one time.
Why not cut out the middleman and just get it Tweeted, full stop? I think that’s a better solution than a forum thread or wiki page. The kind of things Raminator & Kane post, even when on topic, are generally one-liners that would work at least as well if not better than anything the Twitter feed has been used for in the past. Today’s example twitter post:
“Raminator: Black Mesa will not be released in March”
Most of the posts would make no sense without the context of the thread. And that puts a lot of onus on a dev to tweet stuff whenever I pester them over some pointless one-liner, rather than just to tweet a link once a month linking to lots more useful, in-context information.
I’m not sure how serious you were, but I’m just going to give a flat no to that.
Whatever context is necessary could be delivered in the existing twitter discussion thread. My example tweet needs no context. I was 100% serious, but like I said I also think your original idea is good so whatever you say.
Not sure how we ended up discussing this in two separate threads, lol. Thanks for the input, but I’m gonna go ahead with my original idea for the moment, unless anyone else has any suggestions.
go bean! go!!
Ok I will!
Only one thing can describe this:
:awesome:
As I just said in the BM updates thread, this is looking like a big job but I’m determined now, since I think it will definitely be worth it. I’ll let you know more soon, gonna work out the best way to compile the posts and present them.
Any updates on this? If nothing else, have you decided where you are going to put this? (I can understand the work involved, I just want to know where to keep my eye for when you are gracious enough to kindly finish this wonderful project.)
Wow, I somehow missed this thread. Ok, bean. Where’s the goods?
Been away, back now, be on the lookout for something of this nature soon.
caught by the volcano who’s name no one can pronounce?
Nah, not actually been anywhere, I just meant away from the forums/internet in general.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
