Quit Yer Bitchin', Valve annouces a L4D DLC

But see, TF2 seemed polished and awesome from the get-go. L4D (at least in my opinion) felt like it was still in beta. I guess what I’m saying is that TF2 wasnt in need of DLC.

Did you read his post? Six maps?

Yes I read it. And when you put it in that timeline it makes sense, they both have sort of the same ammount/quantity of updates. its just that tf2 feels like it has more. TF2 gets maps, weps, characters(hats), bug fixes, game modes and other general improvements. L4D gets maps. and A game mode.

Yeeeee, still gonna buy L4D2.

I hope you do realize thats only a fify-fifty situation.if Valve is wrong and the boycott group wont buy left 4 dead 2…I`m not going to write any further because i think that you know what I was going to say

TF2 hadn’t gotten most of that stuff by this point in it’s life cycle though, as I was pointing out.

I’m not quite sure what you are getting at. It seems like you aren’t making any fucking sense.

that means that there will still be plenty of fucking players to make a game with(if the boycotters won`t buy left 4 dead 2).

What the fuck are you talking about? Learn to make developed statements and arguments.

if boycotters dont buy left 4 dead theyll still be able to play left 4 dead.for example:you dont like left 4 dead 2,but you do have the first left 4 dead.that means you will still be able to buy it.IF other boycotters dont buy left 4 dead either that is.but whatever, you know what I say right

I`m talking about the fact that if no boycotters will buy left 4 dead 2 that means there will still be more then 40000 people to play with.

Don’t double post, edit your previous post to include what you have to say.

I’m not sure if I should even respond to such stupid logic. You have a fan base that hasn’t matured yet, then cut it in half. You have a product that hasn’t finished it’s life cycle, and yet is replaced. This causes no development of the initial product fanbase.

Excisting owners of the original product will either move over to the new product or not. The ones who do not will only be able to play the original. If you had just bought Left 4 Dead soon before the second was announced you’ve only had it a short time. There already exists problems in the game with matchmaking because of decreased player density. Imagine cutting that in half.

So they either buy the new game and forget about the original which they JUST bought. Or they stick with their initial 50 dollar purchase and enjoy their poor game experience because the community for the game has stagnated.

Don’t give me the shit about the new content being released. It would be like announcing new content for Team Fortress Classic after TF2 was out. Who the fuck cares about TFC then?

[COLOR=‘Red’]Max, calm down and keep it civil.

Among my circle of friends and clan mates, the release of L4D more or less killed TF2 for a while, which had previously been our staple. Over time the shiny newness of L4D wore off, and when the next TF2 update came out we all flocked back to that. Now we all go through periods of playing both, and each time one or the other gets a new update or additional content, we all focus on that one for a while. I fully expect the same thing will happen with L4D and L4D2 with us, and I can imagine it being the same in the wider population. There will always be some amount of people with only one of the two games making a core audience for that game, and lots more with both who will shift back and forth. Obviously the first month or so after L4D2 is out most people will be focused there, but I’m sure you’ll see some people float back to the original after that.

Well I think that there is a core difference between the switching back and forth between L4D and TF2. The thing is that those two games offer different tings to those who play. There isn’t really that juxtaposed comparison between L4D, and L4D2. Unfortunately I’m thinking that once one plays L4D2 there won’t really be much to go back to in L4D, especially if the ability to mod L4D2 comes out. To make people buy L4D2, you know valve is aware of the short release date, and will thus pack it full of content to make it seem like a value.

Keeping it civil. :stuck_out_tongue:

We shall see. Personally I expect to go back to L4D from time to time - I like those campaigns and I like those survivors - but if I don’t it can only be because L4D2 is a much bigger and more drastic improvement over the original than even an optimist like me is expecting. So as far as I’m concerned it’s win-win.

Good boy. :stuck_out_tongue:

you dont see to get my post:I said that if no single boycotter will buy left 4 dead 2 then there will still be plenty of people to play with.if you still dont get it I can`t help you.

I get your post but I’m trying to explain that your logic is full of obvious holes. You can’t possibly think what you are saying is correct so you are just being obtuse. I am not going to entertain your ridiculous nonsense with further responses.

l4d2 has ammo that ignites people;WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT MORE??

how bout ammo that ignites people in L4D?

nah,I dont really like the magic fire ammo.makes stuff to easy.but then again its just my opinion and i don`t have to use it so.
