Questions about Mac gaming!

^ Amazing!

Yes, games are slowly crossing over. There are a few more “recent” AAA for a mac, but to get Knights of the Old Republic on the mac, it’ll cost you $45. I got it for $2.50 for PC :3

Huzzah! Unsubstantiated evidence that proves absolutely definitive on the question of the cost of Mac games. How wonderful that you brought that into the thread.

Did it ever cross your mind that this forum has a reputation for being dicks to everyone and is full of dedicated pc gamers?

Yeah, I like macs, I suppose it is both what you are used to.

I prefer PC’s to macs but I don’t care as long as no (good) PC devs start exclusively developing for macs.

Wait, what??

Now I know I only read the first few posts so I have no idea what has been posted above me, but the thread is “Questions about mac gaming” and you are saying you don’t game on your mac??? That leaves me thoroughly confused. And BTW try Windows 7, there’s no question that it’s better.

Then prove him wrong. You constantly accuse people of having no evidence and so on, yet you never bother to disprove them. If you think someone is saying something that is wrong, then disprove them. Go out and find some games that are significantly cheaper on the mac than on the pc.

Give it up Loony, will all know mac gaming pales in comparison to pc gaming. In fact, it’s hardly even a comparison. I’d like to point out that there are about 1 or 2 “next gen” games on that list. The bottom line is, if you’re a gamer, don’t buy a mac.

Yeah, I titled this page very poorly. I more wanted this page to be for mac users to discuss Steam coming for the mac, and to clear up a question I had (See the first post).

Substantiated.

Not to mention I’ve held a physical copy of one at Fry’s electronics just before christmas, and its was $45. I got a copy of KotOR in the steam store for $2.50. $45 > $2.50

I was just stating that older games when ported over cost more to get them on the mac then it does for the PC. Thus, its much more cost effective to go with a PC version.

I never really had a problem with mac users, or the OS itself. If they prefer the operating system, then fine, more power to em. But I have met a few mac users that talk about it like its the Master-OS, and will use every opportunity to let you know how much better than Windows it is. The “I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC” commercials didn’t help either. So when situations creep up where PC’s obviously beat out Macs in some area, I take a small measure of pride. I know there are several PC people like that too, but they don’t try to annoy me with their claims since we share a common OS.

I can back this up with Rise of Nations mac edition.
