developers say the xbox 360 isn’t maxed out, but as a PC gamer, you see a difference, lol. The better the games look, usually, the less anti-aliasing and clarity they have, even with 1080p displays. The ps3 is graphically beautiful and nice to have if you’re into eyecandy, but only for exclusive titles. Both suffer from lack of anti-aliasing, but the ps3 moreso. Multi-platform titles look better on 360 than ps3, but ps3 overrall has better graphics. both consoles have their ups and downs, though. if this thread is your way of deciding which to buy, I’d suggest an xbox 360. I’m hardly a fanboy of microsoft, I just began playing my xbox more after i couldn’t keep up with the pc’s demanding titles and upgrade my system.
Xbox Live is undoubtedly better than PSN, and mutliplatform titles are undoubtedly smoother on Xbox due to its similarity to PCs whilst PS3 operates using SPUs and what-not.
if you’re going to buy one or the other, it should be because of their exclusive games or things like blu-ray, though, that may attract you. Find things that you like about the two consoles and buy one. Last-gen, I had an xbox pretty late in its life and liked it. i later bought a ps2 for one single game–metal gear solid 3. i’m probably gonna do that this generation too, if ps3 gets cheap, so you may be planning on that.
