Processor Upgrade

If he didn’t think there was a CHANCE it would work, he wouldn’t have asked. If he KNEW the answer would be “No”, he wouldn’t have asked the question. Therefore, he thought an AMD CPU might work in a Pentium slot/mobo. Only an idiot would ask a question he KNOWS the answer to. It would take an even bigger one to ask a question that EVERYONE knows the answer to. Especially as he claims to know plenty about PC hardware. My entire point is that if he thought he knew plenty, and was unaware of something so basic, he REALLY needs to re-evaluate whether or not he should be touching ANY PC hardware - what else does he not know but thinks he does? Save yourself or your parents or your paper-run money and get people who KNOW what they’re doing to touch your PCs from now on.

It frightens me that someone could be such an asshole, but yet be pretty much correct.

Sometimes you’re unsure of things; you know that they probably won’t work (or will), but since you’re not sure, you ask before you try to do it.

That actually is what draws the line between complete idiot and simply uninformed. Idiots do stupid things regardless; educated people ask about things before they try and do them. Idiots bust pieces of their motherboards trying to fit different processors; normal people take the time to make a thread in a forum and ask about it.

Bahahaha. Okay bro, whatever you say. Thanks for making my day though, I enjoy a good laugh. I could go into details about the paper-run comment and the PC ‘touching’ you seem to be all excited about, but I’m pretty tired of this blatant attack against me. So I’m just gonna concede the point, you’re right. I’m a complete idiot. Congratulations!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
