problem: your forums are too functional

your system of showing whether there are new posts on a thread since your last view.
the ‘edit post’ button.
the ordering of posts made in chronological order when displayed.

It all actually WORKS… WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS??? O_o

Since when was an online forum experience mostly glitch and hassle free?!
How do you guys get so right… what the likes of facebook discussion boards, gamefaqs forums, gamespy and youtube comments get SO WRONG?!?

vBulletin.

^ bscly.

Sounds to me like your used to visiting forums that run crappy software.

well… how bout this. the date format is confusing to some. many of us are used to mm/dd/yy but on these forums it is the standard most recognized around the world dd/mm/yy. Which is fine, until you get a date that gives pause when trying to figure out if it is march 1st… or january 3rd.

(yes, I am just nitpicking but you looked like you needed something to gripe about. )

The forum works great but sometimes it goes to shit and we have to start over.

and everyone is brand new again. kinda like being born again! :stuck_out_tongue:

hmmm…
nahh it’s not working for me… which means it’s working fine… because as an Aussie i’m used to dd/mm/yy:meh:

I had an account which i never used before the server crash… but i neither know nor care where it went… so not even THAT’s a problem! :expressionless:

yeah and It just seems odd that the likes of cnet, ign and prettymuch all Google owned sites are downright shoddy in comparison where community chat is concerned. You’d think multi-billion dollar corporations could afford better web design… then again… multi-billion dollar corporations routinely pump out games far worse than Black Mesa - (this statement is proven irrefutably correct in the future. I am from the future. :freeman

You can actually change that somewhere in your User CP.

Damn. O_o

:frowning: It IS perfect!

YOUR KIDDIN!?

(runs to her cp)

EDIT: cant find it. :frowning:

Also, 24 hour clock.

You could just join the rest of the civilized world and write the date in logical order (ie, dd/mm/yyyy) :expressionless:

XXIV • III • MMX

metric system would be good too. Hell, Americans INVENTED the dollar, which is like… metric currency (EASY TO FIGURE OUT)

I can’t talk though. Aussie internet still is cursed by this affliction called ‘download limits’ and is mostly still copperwire networks. >.>

Damn, me neither. That must have been phpBB.

43 years of doing it wrong. :whimper:

What are you a commie?!?! This is AMERIKA! Where we spell the word color the way god intended, we measure everything in imperial units, and our months are more important than days so they come first in dates.

So we’re right, you’r wrong, god bless they US of A (Activate fireworks, and F16’s)

[COLOR=‘DimGray’]ps:Great Britain is still invited to the tractor pull because they still use MPH

Fahrenheit, Feet and fluid ounces are retarded, Everything should be in kelvin, kilometers, and kilograms.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
