Questionable Ethics.
I wonder how they’re gonna do the lasers. There was a thread on that a long while back.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Gordon had been working at BM for some time.
But when you play it for the first time, you’re in his shoes and because it’s you’re first day, it only seems like it’s Gordon’s first day (at least that’s the way I felt the first time I played HL many years ago).
I don’t think a powerlock-puzzle (pertaining to racing Barney into Kleiners office) is a very good idea since it’s obviously a deviation from the original.
:hmph:
Seriously though, it’s quite obvious that it’s Gordon’s first day. After rapidly being accepted, he was trained in the use of an experimental power suit in just under an hour, before being raced off to a lab to take part in a highly dangerous and technical experiment where everyone has already heard of him.
Hazard Course doesn’t necessarily take place on the same day as the RC, it’s just a way to get the player familiar with the game and Gordon probably would’ve taken it earlier. Like others have already said, it’s not his first day because how else could all those security guards and scientists already know him so well?
I was joking.
No matter how obvious you try to put the sarcasm into your posts, there will always be someone too blind to see it.
No I did get it… a couple of seconds after I clicked the Reply button
Why is this thread still open? :hmph:
I actually wouldn’t mind some more puzzley-bits in BM. I kinda liked how Blue Shift was paced, nice mix of puzzles (albeit simple most of the times) and action.
Up until Lambda Core, HL1 was pretty straight forward (bar Blast Pit, but that wasn’t much of a puzzle anyway, just an annoying obstacle).
If everyone in Black Mesa knows Gordon why he should have stepped through the whole facility once before the resonance cascade?
because it got taken over and is no longer the same thread ?
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
