I checked both weapon script and config file but there’s nothing about the firing mode. I guess it’s hard coded in the game.
Aww shucks Psycho, I was hoping there would be a way to change that; the 3 round burst is pretty buggy - sometimes I’ll shoot 3 rounds per trigger pull, then 2 rounds, and rarely I’ll get the famed single shot before it resets back to 2 or 3 D:
sets ammo pools to their Half-Life counterparts (250 for 9mm/MP5, 10 mp5 grenades, etc)
also reduces some enemy health/boosts weapon damage and more
Came across this at the GameBanana website which looks interesting.

Within his description, way at the bottom of the page below his script, the modder provides links to a couple of YouTube videos demonstrating what his new script does.
Adds more gore to the game by modifying the gib repository as well as fixing a few bugs with the gibing system. It also adds more variety to the gibs as well.
The few tweaks I did were to make it behave more like the goldsource engine. I changed all of the pickups to their goldsource equivlents. I also gave myself 24 hivehand rounds, because 8 just doesn’t seem to do ANYTHING. I toned down the damage on the marines a bit, and changed the scripting around so the medics would heal other soldiers (basicly copy/pasting it straight from the hl2 rebel medics.)
Care to share please?
Hey everyone, sorry for necroposting but I don’t know where to ask.
Is there a way to change the health/HEV values given by the stations? Thanks in advance!
Hey Vic7im. I think that is up to the mapper. If you want to change it, you would have to decompile the map and change it yourself. I am not an expert, but I think that is how it works.
I think there are some variables for it in the skill.cfg. They should be fairly easy to spot.
Then you just gotta change the default one and the klab flag one. (They used the flag for ‘Kleiner’s lab’ in AM for the charger in the HEV room)
Thank you both for your replies. I’ve already edited lots of values in skill.cfg but found nothing regarding station values, only batteries/medkits.
Oh well, nevermind. Thanks again!
Me again, is there a way to increase the frequency of grenades being thrown to the player by HECU marines using vars?
