Not sure what’s causing it (probably the motion blur or depth of field), but parts of the game look like they’re being rendered at half-resolution.

I really don’t know if I’m somehow having issues that other people aren’t having. It doesn’t look all that good and I’ve noticed stuff like flowers on trees popping in when I’m right next to them. It also runs poorer than a lot of other people say it should. But that’s how it’s always been for me. I don’t know if I’m having actual issues or other people aren’t being truthful about their performance. Because the vanilla game already drops into the 40s and 30s at times but I see people using all of these mods to improve how it looks that I would imagine would make it unplayable unless you’re running a dual card setup. For instance downsampling from 1800p makes the game run at 20-30 fps for me but I see people talking about how they do it all the time fine.
Man, AA2’s dense foliage makes SoC’s yantar even more forboding and awesome looking
also lol
The dialog between these homies is just spot-on. Go Volition.
Whoa.
Happy accident- I just happened to be standing in front of the spawn zone for this guy.
This page is starting to drive my connection crazy. Holy crap.
The last few pages of this thread have been really heavy, as if everybody started posting uncompressed screenshots or something.
I’ll use thumbnails for panorama screenshots from now on (and 1920x1080 “thumbnails” of 3840x2160+ shots ).
I haven’t posted any uncompressed shots, those would take ages to upload.

AC: Brotherhood (links to larger version, 4241x1080, 2.2MB )
The original full-size version of this shot with PNG compression was 107MB…

Holy crap, Brotherhood looks good on your system. If it weren’t for the shadow aliasing I would have thought that was concept art.
Yeah, the original panorama was made up of several 3840x2160 screenshots - once assembled they resulted in a 17408x4433 image, which I patched up a bit (seams) and resized to 4241x1080.
The settings I used for those shots were playable, but I stick to 1920x1080 for most gameplay. Not quite as shiny, but runs at >100fps in this scene.
I wish I’d taken some screenshots of the first section you play as Desmond, the dynamic lighting there was great. Might have to replay it
EDIT: to have a screenshot in my post:

The character art seems to be improved a fair bit over AC II. A few of the main characters look quite young for their age, though.

Beginning of my German campaign in Hearts of Iron III. Forgot to take more pictures.

Was ultimately fucked by Stalin bear dick and Allied beach party.
Took forever and lots of file editing but I got Pripyat Game Rebalance (which included AtmosFear 3) and some weapon overhaul mod to work together.
Wasn’t there a compatibility patch already to get those two working?
EDIT: I’m thinking of Pripyat Reborn, is that different from the above rebalance mod?
The weapon mod is called Original Weapons Renewal.

Yeah, I use that with MSO, I was just curious what “pripyat game rebalance” was, I was thinking it was this which has an OWR patch
EDIT:
Oh, it’s from the guy who made MSO, I wonder if I should be using that instead?
I was originally going to use that but I saw the PGR thing. It has MSO in it but changes a lot of other things too. One thing I don’t like though is that at least right now with my shitty armor my health constantly drains in anomalies.
I thought that was a standard thing? like being near a burner one causes gradual thermal damage unless you have adequate protection via armor or artifacts?
Could be. I’ve don’t remember it ever happening though, at least this quickly. Maybe it’s because it starts you out only with one of those bandit jackets and not really with armor. It makes it more advanced though. Like you need to have a gas mask in the swamp with the helicopter or your life goes down. Getting near a poltergeist too sucks your health which I’m pretty sure isn’t in the original game. I don’t remember anomaly fields doing much of anything unless you actually walk into an anomaly.

Black Mesa
Modified for brightness
BM crashes on me at 5120x2880 and 5760x3240, probably due to the low refresh rates I have to use at those resolutions. (L4D2 does the same - might be a Source engine limitation)

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
