I’ve never seen those particular blood splatters when playing HL2 before, so it seems to have worked!
FEAR blood is cool, but L4D2 blood is what you want.
Try checking the “3D resolution” setting in the options. ARMA 2 has two resolution settings - one for the interface (which determines the resolution the game runs at) and another for the 3D graphics (which determines the resolution the 3D assets and effects are rendered at). You might have the Interface res set to 1920x1200 but the 3D res set to something much lower, thus resulting in blur when it gets upscaled.
The screenshot wouldn’t show any upscaling. It would look fine, just really small. Screenshots are always taken at the resolution the game is played at.
yeah, but he said there are two resolutions, 1 of the hud etc and another one of the framebuffer and if the gameresolution is 1920x1080 and the framebuffer only 1680x1020 then it’s upscaling to the gamewindow and your image gets blurry
I’m assuming that because it’s been taken during gameplay, it’s using the resolution set for the world and not for the UI.
If I’m wrong, that’s a weird as hell feature to put in a game. Never seen it done that way before.

It’s not quite useless - you get the benefit of a sharper in-game interface without as much of a performance hit as you would get if everything was rendered at the higher resolution.
There’s not much point using it if your computer can run the game well already at your screens native resolution, but it can be useful on lower-end computers (as long as the limiting factor in performance is the graphics card, not the processor… otherwise it provides very little benefit at all).
PS: It also works in the other direction: you can render the game at 200% of your normal resolution to get some crazy super-sampling going 
I tried to play Arma 2, but then I realized a standard PC keyboard doesn’t have enough keys to cover all of the stuff you have to do in this game.
Haha yeah it takes forever scrolling through the key bindings to find something you want and I had to keep going back and looking to find what key did what.
