This question again? No, it isn’t the only face I make.

Oh god I was scrolling and the page kept snapping to shirtless goatpig.

Good job, by the way.

I laughed so hard at Strangelove’s comment that it’s not funny anymore.

  1. Linking straight to EXEs is usually bad, even if it’s from mlcrosoft.com
    [COLOR=‘Black’]… waaait a minute…
  2. That link means you’d be using Windows, which means use this instead

Most of the pictures are linked from other sites so there is no control on the size there. I agree with you, however, if they have access to a repository to store pictures, they shouldn’t upload the raw picture.

wrong wrong wrong

simply re-size your image before uploading it to photobucket or image shack or whatever you use and that’s the size it will appear when you post it

no picture hosting site is going to up-sample your images and make them huge that’s just ridiculous

you have absolute control over the size of your pictures no matter what site you are hosting them on (that is of course unless you are trying to make them ungodly huge in which case most sites will either give you an error or down-sample them for you - which by the way still doesn’t help your argument in the least)

Read my second sentence.

Also, ImageShack.us has a built in resizer which comes in handy.

your second sentence does absolutely nothing to alleviate the inherent wrongness of your initial and principle statement as it speaks of hosting ones own repository

the bottom line is that even if you are hotlinking to images uploaded to another photo site you STILL (now since you seem to be having trouble with this thats S-T-I-L-L) have full control over not having a huge ass picture

PERIOD

Your argument is invalid

You can control the size of someone else’s pictures? For example, if I were to link to your signature image, could I make it smaller without uploading it to a repository of my own? Interesting. How would I go about doing that?

OK I will go easy because it appears that you have gotten lost and i can dig that

this is the post YOUR picture thread

you get that

post - YOUR (as in your own) - picture

why in the hell would anyone be hotlinking other people pics in here

that is not the intention of this thread and is therefor outside of the scope of this conversation

if you are posting a pic here it is not unreasonable to assume that you are the one who uploaded it and it is therefore absolutely proper that you should have control over the dimensions of the picture being uploaded and in turn posted here

catz post was very informative and useful and entirely warranted

your argument still holds no water

I have friends who took my picture and hosted it on their website. If I hotlinked to their picture of me, can I control the size of the picture?

OK now your just backpeddling

that is just not a common situation by any means and it certainly isn’t relevant enough to justify your post

your just coming up with a random (and while not entirely unlikely at the very least statistically irrelevant) situation and retrofitting it to suit your argument

its at worst a little sad and at best laughable

this will be my final reply to you in the context of this conversation

Me, hosted on one of my friend’s repositories.

Not sure why you’re so hostile.
