this was it in 2007, i used to be a freak about it but then i released i could put an icon on the desktop and then just click it twice.

I think it looks cool
I love the Portal wallpapers, but they’re always squashed or stretched, so, since they’re pretty uniform for most of the picture, I just cut sections out and resized each one. I also compensated for my task bar, so none of the gradient along the bottom of the pictures is obscured.
EDIT: Whoops, looks like one of my screencaptures was badly timed.

the blue sky in the top-right was totally accidental, btw, but it’s awesome how it contrasts opposite of the zombie.
