what panel are you using? :awesome:

Nice to see someone else who likes having sexy space-related desktop backgrounds. Could I get the original background from the first image? I really like the look of that one.

Anyway, here’s my desktop.

DiePoente, sauce for the top wallpaper possibly? :3

Here’s the sauce :3

Found it on a German Gamewebsite. It’s from Starcraft 2

Looks like DC is not having a good day.

That “Is Black Mesa released?” thing there actually changes to yes when it’s out, i’m using the isblacmesareleased.com rss feed

note the text in the bottom-left corner:
“Taking a Screenshot - ArchWiki - Namoroka”

someone should just make it the printscreen key

yeah, and it is possible, i just cba to do it, i rarely ever take screenshots (btw Namoroka is a codename for Firefox for Linux, so that was a webpage i had open)

I noticed, seeing as ArchWiki is the name of a website x)

What, I’m not allowed to link to an image of my desktop? Every forum I visit (well, except for this one apparently) doesn’t want dozens of huge images cluttering topics because it’s a pain in the ass for people with slower internet. So it’s just become a habit to always link to an image.

You could just bind some kind of screengrabber (eg. ksnapshot, if you’ve got it) to keycode 107. In my fluxbox config I’ve got this simple script bound to 107:#!/bin/bash DATE=`date +%Y-%m-%d` TIME=`date +%H-%M-%S` if [ -f ~/snapshots/snapshot-$DATE.png ] then exec import -window root ~/snapshots/snapshot-$DATE-$TIME.png else exec import -window root ~/snapshots/snapshot-$DATE.png fi

Also, Namoroka was just the development codename for Fx 3.6.

thanks for that script! i’ll go put it in my openbox now

Just remember to check the location of bash (‘which bash’) in your distro and put it in the first line. Plus, the script doesn’t check if the directory snapshots exists, so you might want to create one or point the script to another dir.

bash was in the same dir as yours, and yeah, i had to create the snapshots folder and chmod the .sh file, of course  now it’s working perfectly

turns off the geekiness

Openbox with tint2

EDIT: Also, pacman -S scrot; sleep 3 && scrot
minimise, wait, check home folder

ah, thanks, but i am already digging pypanel

I’m pretty sure people with slower internet connections don’t go on threads which are obviously going to be full of pictures.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
