What, I’m not allowed to link to an image of my desktop? Every forum I visit (well, except for this one apparently) doesn’t want dozens of huge images cluttering topics because it’s a pain in the ass for people with slower internet. So it’s just become a habit to always link to an image.

“People with slower internet” =/= I have slow internet.

It doesn’t affect me personally that there are huge images in a topic. I’m just saying that no other forum I go to allows that, so I’ve developed a habit to always link to an image.

Well, there’s no way of them knowing for sure that it’s full of pictures until they actually visit it. That’s why people usually put “56k warning” in topic titles. I know, it seems ridiculous and unbelievable that people are still using god-awful dial-up. But there are people in certain parts of the world that don’t even have access to fast internet, let alone be able to afford it.

Just because someone has slow internet doesn’t mean they don’t like to look at and post images. But going to a topic that’s loading 13 massive images simultaneously… well, they’re screwed. It’s completely different than clicking a link to view one image at a time.

Look mate, I’m not going to be argumentative about this but what Soup said about it being obvious there will be images is completely true, no one clicks on that expecting anything else. If people with slow internet connections can’t manage that, like you said, there are other forums for them to go to. This is the way it’s done here and if you’re right and we’re the only ones who do that, then it’s just one thread on one forum they’re missing out on. Not a big deal.

EDIT: Haha, ah man, I didn’t realise this all started because of something I said as a joke. Chill out, I didn’t mean anything by it.

Don’t worry, I wasn’t even upset about it. I never implied that I didn’t like topics filled with images. Rather, that I just wasn’t used to it.

I really didn’t know if you were joking or not. I got the vibe that you just wanted to make me look like a fool because I wasn’t posting the way everyone else was. Since I’m still a new member on these forums it’s hard for me to tell if certain members are serious or joking. Either way, here, I’ll cave into peer pressure and do it the way you guys do.

The W7 theme is called Shine 2.0. Don’t forget to follow the install instructions.

The start orb was changed to Switch v2

The dock is RocketDock with the Simple Dark skin

wallpapers, I got the wooden one from DeviantArt too, but google and you can probs get them both easily.
