Synergy? Naaaahh… that’s a software solution for a hardware problem. I’ve got a KVM switch channeling a PS/2 mouse and keyboard… though recently my PS/2 mouse crapped out, so I have 3 USB-mice sharing a mousepad.
But synergy allows for seamless switching between screens, and syncs clipboard. It really makes it feel like just another screen on the same computer.
or sell your 3 shitty rigs to buy a proper one and run the other 2 systems in VM
Shitty? Hello, man, you’re looking at a combined 8.46 GHz.
And, uh, apparently the world record of overclocking doesn’t triple the average of my three stock, air-cooled machines. (Then again, they’re AMD and mine are Pentium, so uh… oh well, at least they cycle faster.)

Epic.
How’s that?
We have a term for that over here: disaster tourism. People that like to watch the misery of others.
That is creepy as hell.
I feel the sudden urge to force inferiority upon you when I am the one who is inferior
Did someone mention screen real-estate?
Do you use matrox triplehead? if so, what monitors do you use? I get the option to go to that resolution but sometimes the screens flicker (very randomly and maybe just twice a day) and I feel maybe it´s because of the refresh rate it uses on that resolution (50Hz)?
if your screens native res is 1680x1050 then you don’t need to worry about any higher resolutions
nope, 1920x1080 but I run them at 1680x1050 because of the issue I mentioned
in that case it’s probably the matrox triplehead that’s limiting your resolution. I got nothing against matrox (they are actually only 30 minutes away from my house) but most new graphics cards come with 3 or more outputs capable of 1920x1200+ resolution each.
