I’ve had Norton on my other computer for a couple years now. It’s quiet, effective, and never messes with anything. It came bundled with the computer originally (six years ago), and back then it was a pain in the ass; I had it off in favor of AVG for a while. But it’s improved a lot since then.
maybe its not as bad now as it was, i havent tried it in a long time

For me it works, works well, and doesn’t mess with my shit. I don’t look for much else in an antivirus.

Although I haven’t started it in about a week because I don’t want to restart my computer.
