The computer can listen to a sound frequency much more precisely than the human ear, precisely enough to reconstruct a series of dots from this so called “noise” created by similar software.

No, I just don’t know what program was used, how we extracted the sound from the game, etc.
Has anybody tried applying some audio filters to those sound files to see if any sort of cryptic messages are to be found?
Well i belive the sounds were just taken straight from the game directory. I think they were called Dinosaur1-26.

I find it strange that they’d make you have to find the sounds and stuff in the game even though you can just hack them out of the game files prior. Now… if they had set it up to where for each radio you heard, it took an encrypted file from the game data and placed a decrypted file in a portal\dino\ file or something like that, that’d be cool. Not that this isn’t all cool already. I wonder if Adam Fauster had anything to do with this… It’s right up his alley.

Yah, they found pictures in Adam fosters flicker account that linked up with some of the information on the bbs. Also if you look back at the first dew pages of this thread I already talked of this.

That progress bar on the BBS is predicted to be full at around 10AM CST tomorrow, I think we might see something huge there.
They also predicted it to be full 8 hours ago, guess what? it wasn’t. The estimation has been jumping back and forth.
I’m pretty sure Valve is one of the few companies that actually care about their fans more than actual profit. This, of course, still translates into profit anyway because of how awesome they are.
