Hellll yeaaaa boii I replaced my headphone plug I am now a professional engineer!
There is absolutely no tubing inside the plug so the connections will break the next time I lightly yank on the wire. oops.
my right headphone just died 2 hours ago 
Mine didn’t. 
Real easy to fix (if it is the plug anyway!)
cut the plug off
pry some of the tubing off
solder the wires to a new plug
My sister cut the wire on my headset, the problem is there are 6 wires and they’re all covered with non-conductive material.
but thats when you notice that 2 of them are colored and rest are dumb
so you lump the dumb ones together and fly off
sadly, it’s not the plug. one of the wires is cut somewhere and I don’t now where.
cut the whole wire!
Come to think of it, one of my headphones is broken too. It is really fuzzy sometimes and other times it isn’t. Ipod headphones suck.

Got a new truck. Working on subwoofer installation. Pics tomorrow hopefully if I get them going.
Well the new plug lasted a grand total of two days before I literally pulled it straight off. But thankfully with my latest professional engineer technology from NASA called hot glue I was able to fix it again! (The hot glue dispenser was also shaped like a gun so I pretended I was playing Counter Strike, a realistic hot glue dispenser simulator)
I still forgot the heat shrinking tubing.

I’ll probably ditch the Magic Mouse. Didn’t use it at all on my previous iMac, and now I’m giving it a spin… It works better than I thought, but it still feels limited to only basic computer tasks that don’t need more than 2 buttons.
