Might want to take it back, some of the lettering is printed incorrectly.

Oh no you’re right :frowning: .

Nah, misprints make things collectors items!

Won my state 3D Animation competition. I’ll get a picture of the medal later.

You have reached a new low.

Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium Tablet

Got it at SupaNova on the weekend. Is there any trick to getting the pressure sensitivity to work in Paint.NET? Any other good programs that would utilise the pen? The bundled software is photo archiving and editing related, not drawing related :dodgy:

More then likely photoshop would work well with it.

To be fair, getting the Bamboo to draw = getting a bike to compete in a Formula 1 race (despite Wacom’s lies about the artistic possibilities of the Bamboo)

But not really.

Used one on the Saturday and Sunday at SupaNova and watched some people with amazing talents using the tablets to create some stunning pieces. It’s not a toy.

Used to have a Bamboo and I couldn’t do shit with it (granted, it was A6-size, so it was terribly small)… It felt bad, the flow was meh and the complete lack of controls was annoying.

Then I got an Intuos3, suddenly I liked using tablets to draw. Hell, it even invited me to draw more than usual. Then it broke. I’m sad.

Still torn between an Intuos4 and a Cintiq atm.

CINTIQ

I know it’s damn expensive, but DOO EEETTTT

EDIT: I just tried my bigger (but also incredibly cheap) tablet. THis is strange, going from A6 to A4 :S
.

I have a Bamboo tablet (the normal version of Jambo’s Fun one) and it’s fucking awesome.

Coll’s right, Photoshop works great with the pressure thingy. You can set the pressure to control any number of things: the size of the brush, the angle, the ‘roundness’. And that’s just the options for shape dynamics: there’s also options for scattering, texture, dual brush, colour dynamics, and other dynamics. And you can use any number at the same time too.

I want the Cintig because it’s the closest it can get to drawing on a computer and it has all of the tools available.

I want an Intuos4 L because it’s 3x cheaper than the smallest Cintiq, it’s a bit more ergonomic and it’s tracking surface is textured to resemble paper, while the Cintiq is a smooth surface, so it feels less real.

Also, the cheapest Cintiq is frigging small (12"), for still quite a bit of money. I’m still surprised at how expensive these are… Considering the technology is a few years old already… But I guess that’s what you get when you have no proper concurrents.

I want a Cintiq because they’re so damn cool.

Pimping my old, broken headphones.

In short, don’t buy Skullcandy. These headphones broke in three places, simply from bending them in order to put them on. You can see in the bit I’ve highlighted that I was able to super glue the extendible parts while they were slotted in. I ended up having to do that on both sides of the headphones. The third break was on the headrest, as you can see, and even if I were to clamp them to keep them steady while the glue did its work, it’d be a permanent weakpoint and would just keep breaking.

So, out I went today to get a new pair!

Some nice studio quality headphones, £10 less than the Skullcandy ones, they sound better and they’re more durable because of the rubbery plastic of the headrest. They’re uglier, sure, but who cares. Oh, and they’re super comfy.

I’ve got sony MDR-V300, MDR-V150 and MDR-XD100 just because sony is so damn popular I can steal them from anyone.
