Over Population Discussion

Well that’s a completely different subject, isn’t it. :3

Sex IS quite enjoyable, which is what makes it such a hard thing get people not to have - but I don’t think any of us can disagree that it’s very important that people do so responsibly.

Telling them that condoms or other forms of protection will make everything better, as I said before, isn’t the way to do it. In fact, it’s counterproductive.

So do you always have sex without a condom?

No. I abstain. I’ve just given you my reasons why above.

You think if you were to have sex with a condom you’d get irresponsible?

So you reject sex?

mind = blown

edit: oh u soup, ninja’ing me

Having easy access to condoms does not make you become a sex-crazed maniac, my evidence can be found in most 1st world countries.

Point is now invalid?

Methinks gwgamer is a sex maniac.

If one allows themselves a transgression once, what reason is there for them not to do it again?

I’m sure that I could potentially have sex once and not do it again. I’m confident in my self-control. This being said, I don’t discriminate between what is proper for others and proper for myself. 'd be hypocritical if I did, no?

Reject it? Nah, I’m sure it’s quite enjoyable, and I’m sure that I’ll enjoy it very much once I’m married.

You’re assuming that every thinks sex with a condom is a transgression.

Also, I think a virgin is the last person who can comment on the sexual activity of others.

1 out of 4 teenage girls in America have STDs.
Condoms are handed out in many schools, as well as being sold in many bathrooms.
Seems like there’s a lot of sex going on with condoms available - look how much good they’re doing.

By definition, having sex with or without a condom is a transgression of a rule that says “no sex until marriage.”

As for your second comment, that’s like saying that a law-abiding cop has no right telling people how to follow the law.

EDIT: Sorry, double post. Merged - can someone delete this?

You have no idea how often people have sex and how many people are irresponsible.

I’ve been sexually active for about five years, but I have approximately zero STD’s and zero babies.

EDIT: It’s a transgression for you but not everyone else.

And my point about you commenting on sexual activity was not about you having any right, but that you have no knowledge of it. So it’s actually more like me telling people how to speak Chinese (I can’t speak Chinese).

That’s better than the current rates in Africa.

Virgins aren’t allowed to look at statistics? You’re not making much sense, brother.

That’s very nice that you’re able to use a condom every time and have been lucky enough not to have one break on you.

The 1/4 statistic above should show that not everyone is capable of this.

And there’s not a thousand groups along with the UN handing out condoms like candy over there, no?

Yeah, and have you looked at the statistics for other countries?

Methinks 3/4 is pretty good.

That’s ridiculous. You’re looking at teenage girls in one country that has a ridiculously high age of consent. I don’t know what sexual education is like in America, but I’d imagine if people in charge are uptight enough to raise the age that much they probably don’t want kids being told about sex.

When I last checked everyone wasn’t a teenage girl in America.

EDIT: So, they’re handing out condoms like candies in America and Africa, yet the STD rate is drastically different? Hm, hm, hmmmm. Guess it can’t be because of the condoms.

Even if that statistic was supposed to mean anything it’s a lot better than other countries, thus is still valid evidence.

I think there isn’t much left besides to accept that most people can control their sexual needs in a responsible way if given the means.

I went to school with over 300 people, and at least 300 of them are now sexually active. Only about 20 of them have kids now, at the most, and they were retards. Are you telling me 300 people are all extremely lucky not to have problems with condoms?

It’s 25%. I don’t care how good or bad other countries is - it’s still a terrible mess.

I never said that they were handing them out like candy in America. Luckily in America, there’s still a lot of abstainence-only education - it’s not the best approach, but it’s better than handing them out in schools, like they do in Australia and many European countries. That’s probably the reason we’re “better” than those countries in that regard, by the way.

So you’re against reducing it down to 25%?
