Hahah. This cannot be good. I think i need to throw this stock cooler + cheap thermal paste out of the window! :fffuuu:

Note: Coretemp reads lower temps because the Tjunction is set to 95C instead of 100C like on Realtemp. I think the max Tjunc is 100C so i went with that. But still, wow those temps are bad.

Stock Cooler
Standard silver-based thermal pate
Tusmai dream case (not the best airflow)
2 x 120MM intake and exhuast fans.

Not good. Hahaha.

That is rather high, but not dangerous. You still have 15C before you reach TJ max. This is not uncommon at full load for a stick cooler, with the crap paste provided and a case with poor airflow.
It’s not ideal, but it’s not dangerous.

Whats gonna finish it off? 90ish? It it reaches TJ Max it’ll throttle itself yeah?

I wonder what temps will finish it for good…

Yes if you reach the TJ max the chip will thermal throttle. What concerns me is that is only after 5 minutes. 85C is somewhat common, but my concern is that it isn’t at max temp yet.

It got quite steady though at that point, I think it might reach 87C though. Maybe even 90C. I might see how high i can get it tomorow. I’m no overclocking geek, they see how low they can get there temps, i see how high i can get them :stuck_out_tongue:

Is there dust in the cooler, are all the push pins locked into place?

Yeah, i’ve reaplied the paste and make sure the cooler is set in properly. This chip has always been running hot. I’ve had it for over a year now, and, to be honest, i think it could be slightly faulty.

Trust me, the speed at which the E6750 heats up is faster than a virgin’s orgasm.

There’s nothing wrong with his CPU or cooler, other than the fact it’s stock.

Edit: Although 85*C on stock clocks is a wee bit high…

Yeah, as soon as i hit the start button, it shot up like crazy! But it woulc go higher than 85. I’m just not sure if the CPU hitting near boiling point is good for the MoBo. Haha.

I’ve had nearly those temps on my laptop, but thermal throttling prevents me from putting a kettle on it.
