This thread is now officially space core thread due to danielsangeo’s post count.
Except it’d have been totally inaccurate, and by being so wrong it’d have made what his actual statement is fictional. You see, I currently expect the level of intelligence it’d take to say something as mentally-deficient as what you suggest.
He was trying to get me to accept that some of you might be above that. By suggesting it in pragmatic language, accurate by ambiguity, he accomplished the elevation of my expectations (at least for him). But then you went ahead and validated my original opinion.
See, TGP?
Fancy Pants is practically the most honest person here. She’s so honest her hair’s like a litmus strip.
It’s not a waste of space, it’s room for us to explore.
Unfortunately, you were born (and will die) during what is equivalent to the first 5 seconds of a Civilization game, so all that room will seem useless right now.
What does space have to do with this thread?
Oh! Right…
Do you seriously believe that the universe was created just for humans.
Sure none of us will live to see the day when we do reach other planets. But the idea of no other intelligent life out there is ridiculous, unreasonable, and short-sighted thinking.
I’m putting simply in my original post. For there to be ONE planet out of all the universe with intelligent life is illogical thinking.
No shit. Civilization is multiplayer.
If you were to cut our quadrant of the galaxy out from the others that have life, though, it’d still be oversized. Would you then see that as a waste of space?
Space is full of shit.
-light is a particle
-electron is a wave
-mass is an energy
-neutrino can exceed C
…now what?
I like the way it is.
it wasn’t “created” for anyone
Who starts playing Civilization in the middle of the 21st century?
Pretty big.
:awesome:
The 21st century is the fifth second into a game of Civilization.
It’s probably due to my poor knowledge of the english language, but the name of this thread confuses the fuck out of me.
There’s a missing word. Try this:
“One Third of Sun-Like Stars have Earth-Sized Planets in Habitable Zone based on Kepler.”
Sun needed to be before like.
Right, makes sense.
i actually have a book with that bigass chart on the observable universe or s/t similar
its one of the two books i have called cosmos lol
Nerd.
Its more because he used what should have been the OP text as the title. A good title would be: Many Earth-like Planets Found
