Older versions of the game's soundtracks

Hello everyone, I’ve got a little request for old fans of BM

I had been following the development of Black Mesa Source early on, in 2009, at a time when the developers were still asking volunteers in the older forum to design tiny props, like models of boards full of calculations written on them, best employee of the month frames, easter eggs, etc. …and the game’s musics.
Then I stopped following the forum and ages later when the game was released, I got to play it and I loved it, as the Half Life fan that I am.
And finally I bought it when I got a chance, and now I’m happily waiting for Xen.

However, when I did play the game I noticed that the musics that had been submitted to the developers through a contest in the early days of development, had been somewhat altered, especially the final credits’ soundtrack…

And I come back to this forum now, after years, because I would like to know if any of you guys would have, by luck, saved the dozen of original tracks that had won the BM music contest originally (tracks like the End Credits (part 2) one, or “The Year of Death” by the artist DejanS, etc…)?

It is indeed possible “nowadays” to find all of the soundtracks of the “final” Black Mesa game in their final version, and some of the newer versions are indeed better than the older ones… but yet I’d like to also get back some of the older versions which I happened to prefer more… some of these are so great !

Thanks in advance

I had a couple mp3s from the community contest and Joel’s in-progress work lying around at some point, but I’m not sure what happened to them.
Which is a shame, because I really want to listen to Nik Petsev’s (sp?) track Resonance right now.

You can find them via archive.org:

The mp3’s themselves appear to be still available on the official site:

These sound good, thanks for sharing

Thanks a bunch, guys! ^^
