Oh shit guiz

Rest in Peace… I’ll leave it as that.

Sucks for Apple, I hope they won’t screw his legacy.

They probably will. Stuff like that always happens.

RIP steve, he was quite a man, even if you didn’t like apple products.

I heard apple’s next project is a Mecha-Jobs

Apple to be brought by Microsoft in T minus …

And there goes the only innovator left in the tech-world today.

Obama said it best; “There may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.”

Steve shall be missed.

do any of you actually care?

Damn, you caught me.

Yes. I care for the fact that he himself, his company and his products were the only things keeping the tech market interesting. I hope his death won’t affect the course Apple is sailing right now.

Get fucking real lol.

Well, it seems… even Steve Jobs had to bite the sour apple.

That’s some really sad news :frowning:

believe it or not, yes

Said the permanent resident of the dreamworld

He has a point though. Its not like Steve Jobs was singlehandedly carrying innovation on his cancer-ridden shoulders. He had help, from within apple, and from without. Innovation hasn’t died, its just lost a particularly innovative viewpoint.

Steve Jobs was more of a businessman than innovator, when he started making fanatics.

IDK if that makes any grammatical sense, because I’m eating ICECREAM!

Back when I owned Apple stock I always used to vote against Jobs as CEO.

Dunno why, he made me lots of $$. :expressionless:

I haven’t liked Apple’s marketing strategy for a long time. That is, the “bash PCs at all costs” strategy. Even back in the old days, it was all “LOL windoze” from Apple. And even into modern times with the “I’m a Mac” commercials, it was all “PCs is stupid and u stupid for buying one”.

I haven’t seen a single Windows commercial that bashes Macintosh, but nearly every commercial for Macintosh that I’ve seen bashes Windows and PCs.

That said, my condolences to the Jobs family and those that work at Apple.

They did a bunch of those a year or 2 ago, where they send “normal people” to a store to buy a computer for no money, and then those normal people go “oh a mac all the hip and cool people seem to have those these days, but I want something to do serious stuff with” or “omg macs they so expensive”.

But ye, I’m not a fan of those “Hi I’m a Mac” commercials, as it was getting to the point where they just pointed out flaws in indows instead of talking about the advantages of OSX/Mac.

Cause 99% of companies haven’t tried it to their competitors nowadays.

Oh pure, innocent Microsoft halo

Not exactly sure what you were trying to prove there, but it kind of made sense when MS was having a huge market share by the time, no?
Being 110% Aggressive in marketing was the only viable strategy for Apple, whether an odd snob liked it or not.

Never said “pure, innocent Microsoft”. However, you can’t deny that their marketing strategy hinges on attacking Microsoft versus actually telling what is good about their stuff.

I have seen maybe one Mac commercial that didn’t mention Windows or PCs. It was for one of those thin laptops.

And maybe Microsoft did do a couple of ads mentioning Macs, but the majority of Apple’s ads are attacking Microsoft and such…even inventing things out of whole cloth about Windows that just aren’t true.

Also, that’s my opinion. I didn’t like the ads. If others like them, more power to them, but I also don’t like mushrooms. My opinion here isn’t wrong.

i hate the expression “more power to them”
