Not very realistic bullet holes on wooden objects [Updated 2/19/2019]

System configuration:
OS: Windows 10 Home Edition 64 bit.
Processor: i5-3570, 4 cores, 3,4-3,8 GHz.
Video card: Radeon R9 280 3Gb.
RAM: 16 Gb. 2 sticks of 8.
SSD for OS and HDD for game included.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start or load a game.
  2. Find a wooden object like a crate, door, table and etc.
  3. Hit wooden object by your weapon.
  4. Turn on / turn off flashlight.

Expected result: bullet holes on wooden objects look realistic. When flashlight is on bullet holes is alright.

Actual result: bullet holes on wooden object doesn’t look very realistic. They are look like a regular black spots. When flashlight is on bullet holes is alright.

Priority: minor.



Sometimes you can watch this even without flashlight.

Limit of the engine nothing they can do.
