No Crowbar?

Today I stopped playing Black Mesa right after I got back to the area where you first get off the tram, after the testing chamber explodes. My issue is, I’m still unarmed.

In Half Life the crowbar spawned next to a closed door right after you get out of the testing chamber.

Did the devs change the location of the crowbar, or is my game actually bugged and didn’t spawn it?
:retard:

Having the same issue. I even looked up a video of HL1 just to be sure. Then, after not finding it and proceeding into the room accessed by going through the vents, I went by the tool chest, and my game crashed, after not finding the crowbar file (sorry I didn’t copy it down, I’ll try to replicate it now and see if the issue persists). But, apart from this game-breaking (?) bug (?), the game is amazing. Props to the music man. It’s sexy.

Edit: Well, couldn’t replicate it. Almost having a feeling it’s because Steam crashed, if that could be related. Well, found the crowbar. It’s there, people. Natural progression of the game. Nice going, guys. This time the bug didn’t come back and I actually saw the crowbar.

Keep going forward. There’s gonna be a door with a crowbar lodged into it. Thats where I found it.

I believe Ram said we would be unarmed for a longer period of time when compared the the original HL. Nothing like going unarmed to increase the tension.

Nice to see I’m not the only one having this problem. I didn’t go in that room trough the vent just yet, in fact I saved and quit right before doing so.

And yeah the soundtrack sounds good so far. Loved the song when you equipped the hazard suit.

Oh ok, glad to hear it’s not a bug. Then I will continue my playtrough, thank you very much.
P.S. Why alter the map design?
Autism

Remember this is the BM developer’s re-imaging of HL1 and not a direct one to one recreation. They changed level design to make more sense, etc. I’m sure if you visit the wiki you’ll be able to have your question answered.

I love that this isn’t a 1:1 copy of the original maps, yet the story is still true to the original. I’m having that new game feeling mixed with nostalgia.

I am so confused right now.

Slightly more on-topic:
You’ll find yourself without a crowbar for a fairly uncomfortably long time, especially if you’ve played the original. Keep going, you can’t miss it.

There will be baddies before you’ll have metal.

The devs changed the location of the crowbar & it was placed on a door in the server room after the main lobby thing

The gang here hates necroposting. Don’t ruin the Ramirez name

MW2 already did that

I still get phone calls

Get outttttttttt

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
