New NPC's Gibbing Script

Came across this at the GameBanana website which looks interesting.

https://gamebanana.com/blackmesa/scripts/7686

Within his description, way at the bottom of the page below his script, the modder provides links to a couple of YouTube videos demonstrating what his new script does.

I don’t really see what has changed?

That’s what he said in the file description.

herp derp another customizer

very substantial

I know what it says in the description, I’m not stupid. I don’t know what he means with dismembering the security zombie (L4D style? Just gibbing? What’s different from default gibbing?), and “editing gibbing” can be anything.

L4D style dismembering would be awesome.

Try setting off an explosive pack near some dead HECU using this script.
The amount of raspberry jelly that goes flying everywhere is hilarious.

Could someone show me a video using this script? I would like to see the effects before I implement it myself.

Edit: So I watched the videos below… So essentially they just blow up when the are gibbed. That’s… Less substantial than I anticipated.

this is a pretty underwhelming script, but it does beg the question as to why no one has really been touching the gibbing system…

I mean, it’s one of the most fun things to do in any game that features them. It’s supposed to be the ultimate gift of fucking someone up to the core. I’d definitely be all over it if I knew anything about it :s

Not if it gibs into the same dismembered torso every goddamn time.

This mod basically gives the gibbing system more variety in how an npc gibs.

nobody cares about the generic lo-poly hl1 gibs retextured with a photo of genoa salami with a red filter on it?
why hasnt anyone bothered with all those great gibs from the community project

^^^

Exactly. That’s my point. How come the system has barely been touched when it’s all out there?
