The point is the suit movement is self powered, the human inside’s own muscle counts for relatively little.
Completely different situation here too. Where as the powered terran armour would be used for a front line assault the N1/N2 is used for covert/stealth/tactical/whatever situations.
My point is, because of the size and material of the suit, it doesn’t matter how well powered it is, it’s too top-heavy, too large to be useful in cover, the poor guy can’t even bend his feet properly, and from the looks of it, his greatest challenge wouldn’t be the enemy, it’d be bending over to pick something up. Even if he’s a frontline unit, he still needs to be able to move well. A well placed RPG round would take him out.
He looks far more awesome than the Nano suit, don’t get me wrong. But practical he ain’t.
ITS A FREAKING VIDEO GAME!!! IN THE FUTURE!!! THEY WORKED OUT HOW TO MAKE IT MANEUVERABLE!!! Sorry, long day. Reaaaaaaaaaally long day.
Agreed, it’s a fuutuuure game, it doesn’t matter if stuff gets clogged in there, it probably cleans itself and who cares if it’s heavy? It’s probably powered too considering it has strength mode.
Yeah, according to the site the NS2 is powered by a hydrogen cell, kinetic movement, solar, (possibly thermal, cant remember) and dead things. :fffuuu:
Another thing to consider is the fact that a Terran marine is literally welded into the armor. It also has full Nuclear / Biological / Chemical shielding for deep space operations. And stimpacks. Stimpacks.
do they have pip-boys in there too? :fffuuu:
The nanosuit is made out of nanotechnology, so it wouldn’t be a stretch that the suit can adapt to match the wearer’s movements.
Apparently the new suit has the ability to “punch through a concrete wall”
The design is cool but the shape looks a little fat if you ask me
the first one was fat too, if you looked at it from the side. maybe it is a little bigger, but hey, it just means more muscle. (is that spelled right? muscle… maybe. just looks really weird.)
It also means that a person may be able to fit into this suit realistically without sufferring from anorexia.
Where are his arms and legs? His arms might go as far as the shoulder blades, but still the guy in this thing is either curled into a fetal position hiding in the torso, or this is some sort of Lifeldian horror.
Either that or his head is just way too small.
With the marine armor you could barely lift your arms, you just look like a pair of hands wielding a rifle.
