Well I’m starting my own mod settled in Black Mesa time (Not Planning on adding Houndeyes, and custom NPCs, though) and I got a mapper (finally) who made a “broken” part of Black Mesa, and you will forgive him for not making it look like HL1 , We are trying to slightly differ from the traditional HL1 look.
But anyway here it is: https://www.moddb.com/mods/black-mesa-no-escaping/videos
looks pretty good :freeman:
Could be interesting. Good luck!
Can’t play the video.

It looks good, if a little blocky and poorly lit, but I have a general question for everyone who makes these videos:
Why do you find it necessary to either shoot or pickup random things? Yes, we know that they will react when shot or that physics exists. We do not need you to show us this.
That will be all.
Someone… you’re not in Source SDK…
Every time I’ve seen your Steam status thing, that’s what you’ve been in.
Thanks, I am tweaking the light right now, as for you’re blocky statement if you look closely the corners consist of arches in some places. but suggestions for lighting types would be appreciated.
That did it.
It looked ok. There’s really nothing to go on here though. I’m sure this is extremely early, but I will say some of the pipes looked out of place. Some of the rooms looked a bit bare. The lighting was the best part though. Good job there.
Gordon’s cousin? Really?
Didn’t notice that. But I echo the “Really?” sentiment.
I admit my idea of that sounds a bit cheesy, I guess I wanted to give a relative to gordon.
Oh yeah, I finally closed that. I basically run it as a background process, but I figured I might as well shut it down before my friend starts bothering me about the ridiculous amount of time steam says I spend in it.
Just noticed this as well.
My friend always tells me that too "You’re not playing Tf2 with me you’re always playing the stupid source sdk video game > "
Holy shoot; 2268.2 hours. :fffuuu:
Yeah, I’ve been know to leave my computer on for weeks, and its always on in the background. You can see what happens.
I’m beginning to add the final touches, sorry for bad spelling and gramar, it’s late at night, so I’m almost of the bed.
You mean to say that you don’t shoot at randomly when you are testing a map?
I know I do. I have no reason to, but its just something that happens.
yes, whenever Im recording with fraps I’m like “ummmmmm well here’s the map and uh… yall are looking at it… I guess I can show you guys prop and wall impact reactions” breaks every prop
