yes she only gave two small kittens but sadly one of them died, and am really sad and happy in the same time if you know what I mean, now I wonder what could possibly the cause of this kitten death ?
p.s I may had lost 4 awesome cats “mother & father and two brothers” but I gained a new cute one but sadly his sister died so he’ll grow up alone, I’ll name him “Weki” in honor of his uncle

though I do think that the reason it died because she suffocated maybe ?
If it took a few minutes for the kitten to die after it left it’s mother, maybe. If it was sudden the most likely cause is childbirth shock, anyway, Gratz on the new kittehz!

I remember when one of my cats gave birth, those little bastards ran all over the place. There was a mirror on the ground, one of them always ran into it for some reason. :retard:
In the end we gave them away (already had two cats), poor cat was looking for her ‘children’ for days.

Most litters have a weakling. If it’s a litter of 2, odds are one will die, or grow up to be the laughing stock of neighborhood cat society.
Mother cats can often tell when a kitten is weaker or destined to die early on, so they generally avoid putting effort in raising that one, and thus the chances are higher fpr the weak kitten to die.
That’s nature for you.

You should be happy there weren’t more kittens and that this Weki fellow is healthy!.. A comrade of mine had a cat, a young one, that went out and got pregnant. That first litter, four or five kittens, were too small at birth, and died in her hands one after another.
