Movies You Want Redone?

List the movies that you want redone (a concept that could have succeed but failed due to crappy screen writing/directing or was made in such an old time). It can be some old classic 1950 movie or a movie released this year.

  1. Transformers 2
  2. Spiderman 1
  3. Max Payne
  4. Transporter 3
  5. Doom
  6. T3
  7. T4
    8 ) Spawn
  8. The Spirit
  9. Fantastic 4 1+2
  10. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
  11. Hulk

Why?

Also, making remakes leads to much worse movies.

The only one I can think of right now is Hitman, it wasn’t terrible but it didn’t do the game any justice

I can think of one remake off the top of my head that was so much better than the original (not that the original was bad, it just wasn’t done right by the source material). The Thing.

Having said that, I would like to see a prequel, and then a remake of the original. Forbidden Planet. I would like to see what happened to the science team as they discover the alien planet, and then watch as their subconsciouses kill each other off one by one. And then see what happens when the unsuspecting rescue team shows up and gets torn apart (partially) as well.

Some things would have to be changed. There is no reason why a ship’s computer systems would have to be torn apart and rebuilt to create a long range communication system. But I think that modern technology could do wonders for that story, if it were scripted and directed properly.

Damn right, Indeed.
I heard that the prequel is currently in the works.
Also, the game was pretty damn awesome. It freaked me out so much when I was playing it for the first time.

The Thing still sends chills down my spine.
If that thing come by my house I kill it. Damn thing! You scary!

All of the new Star Wars movies.
They would be redone with better plots, acting, and writting.

Most of the acting was fine (Anikans were horrible, admittedly). Writing and directing were where the most damage was done.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Extinction. The first movie was pretty good, but the sequels… are sub-par, to put it lightly.

Any Matrix Sequel. Sucked so much, I can’t even remember their names. Too much superpower bullshit and mech battles :frowning:

X-Men 3 springs to mind.

Also, I’d like to see a remake of Mars Attacks directed by Michael Bay, just for the lulz.

Biggest movie let down ever for me. I thought we were working towards apocalypse. :’(

we still are

“The Thing” is the best horror movie ever made, over 9000 days old and still has better effects and gore then most movies to date.
The first two “Alien” movies which are also very old are absolutely a work of art and truly shows how much work went into creating them instead of throwing in a last-minute special effect done by computers.
There’s not many movies with computer effects I like, except those from Marvel.

As for remakes; you can’t remake “The Thing” without the original producer, i’d love to see a remake of “Robocop”.

Not that the old ones were bad, but The Lord of the Rings movies that were done word for word to the books (probably take about a day to watch each part admittedly  ) would be awesome.

Also the Harry Potter movies. The first two were great, but after that they just got a bit shit.

I don’t want a remake of Soylent Green, but there is an Aftermath-prequel-Rehash coming around that seems interesting.

Doom and Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3 sucked.

Doom should have been a reenactment of the Doom Comic.

Boba Fett does not need an origin, and shouldn’t be a Clone of a faggot Australian.

Grievous would be better as some reptile lightsaber dude with cool lightsaber-feet-moves instead of a droidfag with four arms.

GET THE FUCK OUT

I want a faithful adaptation of Alan Moore’s “Swamp Thing” comics.
Get Zack Snyder to make it and it’ll kick ass!

Warner Bros. aren’t making 18 rated comic movies anymore, after watchmen’s box office let down.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Terminator Salvation. Need to be redone. Especially T4.

Alien 3
