I don’t know if there are any Final Fantasy fans from the SNES era on the forums.

But probably the most bad ass villain is Kefka from Final Fantasy 6. (Named Final Fantasy 3 in the states on Super Nintendo.)

He probably was the most power hungry enemy in any game. He poisoned the water of an entire community, he killed his superior, reshaped the face of whatever planet they lived on, destroyed entire towns from the top of his tower anywhere on the planet and every living being feared him. He ran the world from the middle of the game until you waltz up into his tower and kill him.

He’s a villain that ACTUALLY took over the world instead of intending on doing it and his plans being thwarted while doing a huge speech of how awesome he is. Kefka was a clown of action not words.

seraph Sephiroth (AKA “safer” sephiroth)
one dude who had the power to BASICALLY wipe out an entire team with one move (white horse) not to mention his name made you think “oh safer sephiroth, this guy’s bleeping easy!”
the angelic appearance of safer sephiroth made his “safer” status seem all too literal.
