Wrong. It’s coming out sometime in 2012.
Episode 3
Portal 2
Balck Meas
Silent Hill Downpour
Bioshock Infinite
Defiantly Deus Ex and Home Front.
if Onlive gets it, or if i can magically get a new computer, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
OH FORGOT! Dragon Age 2
i would suck every dick for that game to be in my life right now
Portal 2
Black Mesa
Portal mesa 2
and I forgot UC3.
Half-Life 2: Episode 3
Portal 2
Mass Effect 3
I almost mentioned Black Mesa. That made for a good laugh.
Theres a couple for me Little Big Planet 2, The Last Guardian, L.A. Noire, Skyward Sword and Mortal Kombat.
RAGE!!! and portal 2 definately… noticed no one has listed Duke Nukem Forever…???
All the obvious AAA ones: Portal 2, Rage, Skyrim, etc. plus Homefront, which I’m really hoping is like they’re saying it will be, and Dead State, which is an RPG from some of the Black Isle/Troika people.
Black Mesa/TESV: Skyrim obviously.
However, Rage looks really sharp.
It has qualities of all the main post-apocalyptic games out there,
overhauled with a new engine easily comparable to crysis (prolly runs way smoother on cheaper pc’s too since id optimizes it’s shit fabulously),
and has Half-life2/Doom3-like npc and environment interactions.
If I was to describe it, I would say “a super sexy, smooth doom3 engine using a large open-ended map, using a fallout/borderlands theme, and open npc and envoronment interactions WITH VEHICLES.”
(edit)
Biggest for me would probably be:
Mass Effect 3
Skyrim
Gears of War 3
I haven’t really looked into what is definitely supposed to come out this year in retail, though, so I may add more.
fix’d
I see where you are coming from with Mad Max and I totally agree with you. Except I still think it’s more fallout-ish due to the fact that its bleak forsaken atmosphere is FROM a breakout in nuclear war.
The armored buggies in Rage, as far as my guesses go, started out as just basic transportation across the wasteland, but of course then entertainment started after adaptation to the wasteland and combat racing began. Another example of one of their sick entertainment is something called “Mutant Bash” or something like that from a propaganda advertisement i saw in one of the videos. It’s prolly an arena where “gladiators” are faced against mutants. Don’t quote me on that though.
Half-Life 4: Episode 2
Oh, I almost forgot to mention E.Y.E, too (Deus Ex-y FPS/RPG on the Source engine). They haven’t updated their site for quite a while so I emailed the devs to see if it was still in production but they never replied. Fortunately, I found some very recent interviews (in French) where they state that the game should hit Steam in February.
Granted, it looks like one of those games that’s either going to be a great indie or total garbage, but I’m willing to have a little faith.
Aliens: Colonial Marines- I have been waiting for this game for-fucking-ever. I really hope they do it justice. That AVP game that they came out with makes me really nervous.
Killzone 3- I won’t be able to play it, but I’ve always been a fan of the series, so I sort of want to see what happens next.
Dudebro: My Shit Is Fucked Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It’s Straight-Up Dawg Time.
