Missing .exe

When I downloaded everything and installed it correctly, I realized that the blackmesa.7z file was missing its bms.exe file. Is there a way to altrenatively download the file alone?

just extract it using 7-zip and put it in Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods

so that steam can find the game info in Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\BMS\gameinfo.txt

Source mods don’t include .exe files. Like Sersoft said, Steam finds the gameinfo.txt and it runs the game with that using a separate .exe.

I’m having the same issue as Darkflame, try to run Black Mesa through steam, missing .exe

I assume this is caused by the Source SDK 2007 not having a working .exe

When I run SDK 2007 it throws me the same error, missing executable.

Tried a bunch of options from the internet about this, would love to play Black Mesa :frowning:
