Metal Gear: Ground Zero

If that is Big Boss and the game is set back in the 1970/80s there are some major anachronisms. Holographic wrist display anyone?

If this is a prequel to MGS4, That would explain why Snake’s not QUITE as old as in that game, but doesn’t explain Chico and Paz. I’m still not sure on if that kid is supposed to be Chico, he doesn’t look much like Chico from the comic cutscenes of Peace Walker. Maybe this is an older Chico and Paz during the 2000’s and Kojima just hasn’t revealed them yet?

But, I’m almost positive it’s Big Boss and it takes place in the 70’s - 80’s. Logic for the technology be damned.

Considering Peace Walker was already letting Mother Base develop Soliton Radar and gigantic walking tanks, is it really that much of a stretch?

I just noticed, you’re from The Snake Soup aren’t you? The unreasonable side at that.

I think it looks fantastic and don’t give a crap about way too advanced tech. It looks great, and I can’t wait for it to (hopefully) come out on PC.

I get where he’s coming from, though. Metal Gear as a series really has gone on too long. I would love to see some new IP from Kojima Productions. Or maybe Zone of the Enders 3 at least.

Better yet, remake Snatcher.

While MGS clearly stated that it was developed by Mei Ling in the 2000s. That’s pretty funny.

lol at unreasonable.
Yeah I picked that quote, because it really reflects my own thoughts.
Also, what do you mean by me being ‘from’ Snake Soup?

And Kaweeboo - that’s fucking Big Boss. He even looks like the old Big Boss from MGS4
Paz, Chico, Cipher, Mother Base and Old Snake missing an eye in a prequel to GotP? Yeah, right.

That’s what I figured, I’m just tossin’ shit out. Either way, that still doesn’t explain the technology leap. That was mainly the only reason I even thought that could’ve been Old Snake.

It’s not that hard to conclude that Kojima clearly stopped giving the last amount of shit since he finished MGS3

It seems like they’re undermining a lot of the achievements of previous characters in the franchise. Otacon readily admits that he “borrowed” the idea for OctoCamo, and Huey in Peace Walker basically admits to doing something similar for the Metal Gear plans (MGS3 implies he got them from Granin). It’s depressing, really.

Actually, any American metal gears before Madnar’s TX-55 do not really make any sense.
Granin’s cutscene with REX plans was really an Easter Egg more than anything.

I expected a more colorful reply, I’m glad I didn’t receive one. I only meant that you appear to be one of the disgruntled fans on the website “The Snake Soup”. (If you don’t know what that is my mistake, a forum member there has the same avatar as you.)

The pictures of RAY and REX were easter eggs, sure. But Huey said he “borrowed the idea from behind the Iron Curtain” so the implication that he borrowed the concept of bipedal armored weapons still seems canon to me.

By the way, why did MGS4 decided to retcon Madnar back to life, anyway? Surely any scientist could have filled the role. It just seemed rather throwaway of a line to use to resurrect a dead character.

Yes, I am quite disgruntled.
And yes, it’s an actual photo of me.

You are a hottie.

The game looks awesome to me. Snake’s story is over. Kojima said that after finishing MGS 4. He said that he won’t be touching Snake’s path ever again and I think that’s a really good decision. On the other hand, Big Boss has a long path ahead of him before getting actually to Outer Heaven. I think that Kojima will stop doing Metal Gear games when he makes Big Boss and Solid Snake fight again like in the very first Metal Gear.

Surprise, fucker:

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance never claimed to be a Metal Gear Solid. This is not a game about our beloved Solid Snake. It is a spinoff that tries something different. We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.[/SIZE]

Where is your god now?

So Snake is not yet gray. I guess, add that to the piggybank of disappointments too

I say bullshit, the guy in the first footage was obviously the Big Boss, no lighting effect shit excuse can make up for that.

He likely realized the dozens of time-line errors, so switched to Solid Snake in the last moment

Wait what? That’s still Big Boss, he’s just not as grey as people originally thought, apparently.

Is it called Ground Zero or Ground Zeroes?

Zeroes

sigh
Dotard being a tard again.

Solid Snake doesn’t have an eyepatch on his right socket. Naked Snake did.
Solid Snake did not have an MSF badge on his sneaking suit. Naked Snake (unfortunately, admittedly) had.
